Galaxy Hotel

We had such a relaxing stay. The rooms were nicely kept, and the pool stayed clean and refreshing. Breakfast was lovely too. The hotel is just a few steps from the beach and very close to Chora (Naxos Town). A special thank-you to the bar staff, who were so friendly and welcoming.

We spent three nights at the Galaxy Hotel while travelling from Australia. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and the service was high level. There are two good-sized pools with pool bars, with space to relax and for children to enjoy. A nice beach is only a two-minute walk away, and beach chairs are available to hire at a discounted rate. Restaurants, bars and shops are a short walk away, and we recommend strolling down to the wharf. The buffet menu was good. Highly recommend. (Paul & Jodie, Adelaide, Australia]

We loved beautiful Naxos and will definitely return to the island, but we won't stay here again. The hotel was dirty and noisy, and the employees didn't seem very friendly. One night, lying in bed, we could hear someone using the bathroom. There was mold in the shower, and beer bottles and garbage were still scattered around the pool area after 10:30 pm. Breakfast wasn't very good, so we ate all our meals and had our drinks at local restaurants. We tried to spend as little time at the hotel as possible. I'd advise staying somewhere else.

My brother and I stayed four nights in a superior double room with a balcony facing the pool. It was spacious and clean, and the staff were delightful and very accommodating. Chora, the main Naxos town, is about a 10-minute walk to the center, easy enough if you don't mind walking. The beach is walkable too, with lots of beach clubs to choose from. We had a wonderful experience and I can't recommend the Galaxy hotel enough.
