Poseidon Hotel (JNX)

The building and bedrooms are nicely done. It’s rated only 2*, but the location and style make it. Reception staff are friendly and know their stuff, though they aren’t there 24/7. There’s a phone number on the door if you need help. The port area with bars and restaurants is a 10 minute walk, and the airport is a 10 minute drive. There’s also a beach 100m away, with coffee shops, restaurants, and small supermarkets right nearby. I couldn’t see any wheelchair access.

The owner was thoughtful and easy to communicate with. Before we arrived, he sent a detailed list of places to eat, beaches, and things to do, which helped us make the most of our time on Naxos. When we asked about leaving our bags after check-out because our ferry was a few hours later, he offered a late check-out at no extra cost. That was a lovely gesture and made our last day much more relaxing. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, a comfortable place to unwind after exploring. It’s a peaceful location, tucked away but still just a 2 minute walk from the beach and a few minutes from the town center. We had a fantastic stay at Poseidon Hotel and would happily return or recommend it.

Katherina at the front desk was incredible. We’d just checked into a disgusting room at another hotel, so we walked out and found Hotel Poseidon. She helped us book a deluxe room on the second floor, and it turned out cheaper than the original hotel. It was exactly what we were after, and we always looked forward to seeing Katherina at reception as we passed. We can’t thank her and the hotel enough. We’d absolutely stay again.

Reception were lovely, friendly, and really helpful. They booked taxis and restaurant reservations for us, and shared plenty of local information and island recommendations. Our room was lovely, with a super comfy bed and the basic amenities we needed. The beach and beach bars are just minutes away, and it’s an easy walk into central Naxos town for exploring and restaurants. Getting to and from the port was easy too. Had a lovely stay and totally recommend this place for Naxos.
