Sunny Beach Studios

The studios are a short walk from one of the nicest beaches on the island, and about 15 minutes on foot from the centre. For our price, booked on a high-season offer for two adults and a six-year-old, the stay was okay. A few things were frustrating: the pool needs renovation, there was no one in charge on site, and we had to go to another nearby hotel to collect the room keys. There was never anyone available if we needed something. I’d suggest asking for a room on the side, on the first or second floor. The rooms facing the pool were somewhat noisy and very hot, and I would definitely avoid a ground-floor room.

We were unsure about booking because of the bad reviews, but our five days here turned out to be a pleasant surprise for the modest price. The people who welcomed us were kind, and the place was good value. We'd choose it again. The room was practical and nicely decorated, with a hair dryer and other useful things. It was very clean, with general cleaning every day, and there was hot water in the bathroom around the clock. We didn't get to use the pool, but it was very clean and I'd recommend it. It's about a 15-minute walk to Naxos town, and there's a supermarket close by.

The pool is nice, and the beach is only a few minutes away on foot. The studios have had some renovation, though they're still a little dated. Check-in takes place at another hotel, and that needs to be signposted much more clearly.
