Portes Lithos Luxury Resort

I’ve never had the holiday blues this badly after coming home. Our room was beautiful, and I could cry because I miss the holiday so much. We fell in love with the hotel, especially the staff. Pavlos, Yiannnis, George, Sofia, Giota, the manager who looks like my husband, the lovely restaurant staff, the amazing housekeeping team, and the mini market girls. Thank you all for such a wonderful time away. We miss you so much xx

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere at Portes Lithos Luxury Resort felt calm, pleasant and welcoming. It’s spotless and well looked after, which made everything feel comfortable and thoughtfully cared for. I especially loved the spa. The massages were outstanding, and I highly recommend Dimitra. Her skill and professionalism made the treatments unforgettable. The food was tasty, varied and made with quality ingredients, with enough choice for different tastes. The staff were always friendly, attentive and ready to help. For a peaceful, comfortable stay with great service, Portes Lithos Luxury Resort is a lovely choice.

The morning sports sessions were lovely, especially the excellent yoga and Pilates, and the teacher was great. We also enjoyed the pools and beach, all fab. The beach bar pours a generous glass of wine, too. We had an amazing family holiday and would definitely recommend it. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent, with plenty of options even for our plant-based family. The rooms and housekeeping were great, couldn’t fault them. Definitely try a massage at the Aegeo spa. We had John and Dimitra, both excellent. If you’re sore from the gym, go for a deep back and shoulder massage 😊 Our kids, aged 8 and 10, loved their kids spa experience and were looked after brilliantly. We hope to visit again.

We stayed for a week on an all-inclusive package in a loft side sea-view room. We knew nothing was nearby, and the shuttle to the local towns was good. Taking a taxi to afitos is well worth it. The pool was so cold that we felt like we needed to leave the resort. We wouldn’t return. The resort was clean and nicely presented, but the bathrooms were basic for a place calling itself five-star. The main bar was functional but sterile and had very little atmosphere. The restaurant food was fine, but more like a decent three-star resort than the premium stay suggested by its rating and the glowing 4.8/5 reviews online. Service also felt basic, and people rarely seemed to use the pool because of its temperature. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing stood out either. We were disappointed by the five-star label and the stay felt more three-star. If you expect a genuinely luxurious, high-end experience, you might be let down, so set your expectations accordingly.
