Zeus Hotel

The pool was clean and pleasant for days when you don't feel like going to the beach. The hotel is also close to the beach, and it's well placed between Nei Pori and Platamonas, not far from the train station. It's a lovely family-run place. Andreas, Ioannis and the rest of the family and team were friendly and helpful.

For 900 for two people and 10 days, this was a terrible deal. The only real plus was being near the beach bar and beach. Parking was available, but crowded. The double bed was small for two, and the bathtub was only 60x60, with no cover, so water flooded the whole bathroom. We didn't get a floor towel every day, and I had to use my face towel because the floor could be like a river. There were no cleaning tools, so sand stayed in the bathroom and throughout the room. They didn't clean the floor or change the sheets. When I complained, they argued that they'd changed them, and I had to wait until the next day because the cleaning staff only worked in the morning. The owner couldn't come into the room to bring clean sheets. The room lock didn't work with the card. The owner insisted it was fine, but I showed three times that anyone could get in. Once, cleaning staff left the door wide open, and we didn't even get an apology. The safe didn't work either, so we didn't feel secure leaving anything in the room. Breakfast was poor. Every day there was only spicy sausage, ham if any was left, eggs, olives, some bread and sour cream. After an hour, there wasn't enough left. No fresh cheese or yogurt, just one liter of milk for the whole hotel, and badly cut tomatoes as the only salad. There was nothing else to put on bread. Breakfast ran from 8 to 10, so after three days we started eating out. The TV was small and had only a Greek channel, not satellite as claimed. The internet was practically useless at just 4 Mbps. There was sand and little bits in the pool. After eight days, they used too much chlorine to clean it, and I got poisoned. The AC blew straight at my head, so using it meant freezing. Very disappointing.

The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet, and fresh towels, soap and shampoo were provided every day. Breakfast had several choices and was delicious. The pools were suitable for children, and the hotel had private parking. The owners were friendly and polite, and made us feel welcome. The beach was only a three- to five-minute walk away, and the town was about 10 to 15 minutes on foot. A great spot for a holiday in Greece. We'd recommend it and visit again.

We were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back. The rooms were cozy, breakfast was delicious, and there was private parking. The hotel looks nice and has a small pool out front, though the beach is just a three-minute walk away, so that's where you'll probably want to go.
