The villa has lots of room and feels very private and secluded, with a beautiful view over the Ionian sea. Access was a bit tricky: the road is narrow, with hairpin bends and broken asphalt. Inside, the plumbing made a lot of noise, and its volume changed when using the bathroom, shower, or sink. The internet was also quite unreliable and intermittent.

Dioni helped arrange excursions that were far better than anything I’d expected on this trip. I’ll treasure those warm memories from Lefkada. We had a wonderful time at the Diodati Villas: the pool was ideal for the kids, the views were wonderfully peaceful, and the villa had the quaint feel I’d pictured for a vacation. Dioni is one of those rare people who leaves a lasting impression on your heart.

You’ll want a hire car for these villas, which sit on the mountainside with a fantastic view of the main island. Dioni looked after us efficiently and in a really personal way. If you’re lucky, the house staff might make you a cake! On arrival, we were welcomed, shown around, and left some basics like coffee and biscuits. You sort out the rest yourself, though there are shops at the bottom of the hill. The outdoor area is spacious, and the pool is perfect for cooling off. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the price felt reasonable for what you get.

For a slow, easy holiday in this beautiful place, Diodati villas is a great choice. It feels like a place made with real love and passion, and Dioni and Spiros are wonderful hosts.
