One Vision

Dimitri and Gina turned a great holiday into something we’ll never forget. They’re warm, kind people, always willing to help. That became very clear after we’d checked out and were heading home. We stopped for coffee before leaving, which Gina kindly made, then spent about an hour chatting with them. We set off feeling sad to leave, but hoping to return soon. Around 200 km into the drive, our car’s clutch broke and we were stranded. It was late, but we called Dimitri. He and another Greek friend helped us find a towing service to get the car to a mechanic. We knew repairs would cost a lot, and soon realized we didn’t have enough money. We borrowed some from a friend, but the car wasn’t going to be ready that day, so we needed to stay the night. We were out of money and thought we’d have to sleep outdoors. We even started a campfire and prepared for a long night. Instead, Dimitri found a hotel for us and paid for both the room and a car to take us there, even though our stay with him had already ended and he could have gone on with his own life. We’re so grateful, Dimitri. You’re one in a million, and more than a host, you’re a friend. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The apartment itself was spacious, airy, and clean, with a breathtaking sea view from the balcony. The kitchen had everything needed to cook, plus a large fridge, air conditioning, insect screens, and a remote controlled retractable balcony awning. The property’s private beach was stunning, like being on an exotic island. We had a wonderful, relaxing time there.
