Summertime Inn

Christina and the girls made the week feel special. They were so welcoming and friendly. We had a great base, just a five-minute walk from the shops, Tavernas and beach, and the pool was a big bonus for my 11-year-old. Our top-floor room looked out over the bay. It was clean and tidy, functional rather than fancy, which suited us.

We found the hotel a handy base in the middle of the island, with beach drives both north and south. It’s also close to the beach, harbour, restaurants and small port of nikianna. Our clean, spacious room had a lovely view of the pool. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to answer questions, and the owner was polite and professional. It’s a beautiful, clean family hotel, and we’ll definitely come back.

The pool, terrace and parking were the best parts for us. The breakfast was poor and lacked variety, the internet was almost nonexistent during our eight days, and the rooms and bathrooms feel dated. I’d suggest investing in the rooms and bathrooms, cleaning the air conditioners, improving breakfast and upgrading the wireless network. At check-in, Sevina was very kind and gave us her number in case anything went wrong. Our assigned room had a strong tobacco smell, even though we don’t smoke. We raised it, but the hotel was fully booked and could only offer to clean it again. We first considered leaving despite having paid in full, but that would have spoiled the trip for the three other families with us. Sevina and Cristina kindly helped sort things out in the end.

I’d read some negative reviews and was a bit worried, but spending time here with my family turned into my best summer trip ever. The staff were really kind, the location was very good, and breakfast was delicious. There’s a pharmacy and supermarket nearby, and my kids had a great time in the pool. Thanks, Team Summertimeinn.
