La Casa Di Nonna Anna

We went for our honeymoon and had told them that, but they made no effort to improve the stay. By the end, we were promised repeatedly that the room would be cleaned, but it never was. We stayed seven days and got fresh towels, but no toiletries, rubbish removal, vacuuming, or floor cleaning. I asked for shampoo and was told there was a shop nearby. They said rooms are cleaned once every three days, yet ours wasn’t cleaned at all. Reception was staffed only three times that I saw: at check-in, the next day, and check-out. Our arrival was a mess too. Nobody was at reception around 3pm, so I called, then waited an hour while they kept saying someone would come in five or two minutes. Once we got the key, the room was dusty, including the balcony. The bathroom was filthy, with hair on the sink and in the shower, residue on the tap, a fake swarowski stone on the sink, a dirty mirror, stained walls with water and soap residue, and a shaver part on the floor. The bathroom handle was broken and the shower tap leaked. We were told to go to the beach while the tap was fixed and the room cleaned. The tap was fixed, but the room was still dirty when we returned. We asked to change rooms and were told the hotel was full, although there was an unoccupied room on our floor. There was no hair dryer in the room or iron in the hotel. They did bring me an iron from somewhere else, which was nice of them, but this is a two star hotel. The TV had screen faults and sometimes no channels worked. The place was ridiculous and disgusting, not worth even one star. We’ve stayed in one star hotels and studios with better conditions. Then they emailed asking if we enjoyed our stay and wanted feedback, so here it is. Never stay here. It’s not worth your money. I’d pay £200 more to stay somewhere better. Avoid it at any cost.

There was no ventilation in the bathroom, nowhere to do laundry or hang clothes to dry, and the nearest supermarket was 2 kms away along the main road. The rooms were dark and dingy, with no balcony, and staff weren’t helpful. Traffic noise went on day and night. In more than 40 years of visiting Greece and the Greek islands, this was quite the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

The price felt high for what was provided. There was no internet, and we got a different room from the one we’d booked. They kindly asked us to move to another room the next morning, but we didn’t. There was no reception if we needed anything. During our four-night stay, the room wasn’t cleaned and the towels weren’t changed. The double bed was really two beds tied together, which was uncomfortable.

The beach is right in front of this very clean hotel, and the staff were kind, helpful, and well organized. They respected the COVID-19 safety measures. The girl at reception was available at any time and answered our questions. Breakfast was very good too. I’d really recommend staying here.
