Azure Beach Front Villas - Chania Crete

We had a really relaxing holiday at Azure Beach Villas. It’s right by the beach, with beautiful views, and the villa was spotless and lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful the whole time. Highly recommend it.

We came for my mum’s 50th birthday and had the most incredible time. The staff were so friendly, and the place was clean and spacious. The beach is just a 2-minute walk away, and everything else is close too. Already looking forward to coming back :)

The beach being nearby was the main positive for us, along with the restaurants there and the house’s parking. We could get morning coffee at the beach bar because the kitchen only had an old filter machine and a capsule machine, but capsules weren’t available at the supermarket. You could only buy one from them for 1 euro. Our experience of house 10.5 was very different from the pictures on Booking or the website. It felt old and worn throughout, from the furniture and kitchen appliances to the badly marked tiles. The upstairs bathroom tap sprayed water in every direction, the bathtub and kitchen counter were stained, and so were the sun loungers. The living room coffee table was peeling and scratched us when we walked past it. There were lots of ants in the downstairs bathroom and across the ground floor. The pool was clean, but its lights didn’t work when we arrived. After I asked them to fix it, they worked for two nights out of our seven and then went off again. The sheets weren’t changed once during our 7 days there. I’m certain because I photographed my sheet with a hole in it, and it was still there when we left. Towels were changed only once, after 4 days. When I asked for two more, I was told they had few and couldn’t give them to me. The king-size bed sheet was too small and bunched up underneath us each night, so we ended up sleeping more on the mattress. The bed itself broke when we sat on it, with a piece of wood falling out from underneath. They repaired it. A couple of days before we left, Azure sent us a form asking when we’d arrive and depart. I filled in our arrival time and we showed up then, but the house wasn’t ready. When I asked why they’d asked us to complete the form, I was told they do ask, but check-in can’t be before 3 pm. We went to dinner and came back at 3:30 PM, and the house still wasn’t ready. Maybe Booking.com should check what the property is like now instead of relying on owners’ descriptions from 10-15 years ago. I can’t recommend this place. I paid 1700 euros for all this, and it was an expensive scam that spoiled the pleasure of coming back from the beach in the evening.

A lovely, peaceful spot for a quiet family holiday or some privacy. The villas are modern, clean, well kept and generously equipped, with private pools. We met Armela Geka, who was very helpful and took great care of the tourists. The owners also brought a warm family atmosphere and positive energy. There’s a beach and a tavern serving fresh, delicious food just 150 meters away. My phone was destroyed, so I can’t post pictures, but the place is wonderful. We recommend it and would gladly return.
