Horizonte Seafront Suites

We had an incredible stay in this apartment. From the loungers and umbrellas provided for the beach to all the other well equipped, high quality amenities, it had everything we needed. The host and his family were exceptional. There's even a small family vineyard and vegetable patch guests can use. The mountain and sea views are beautiful, and the nearby beach is so quiet it feels almost private. Listening to the waves helped us fall into the deepest, most satisfying sleep.

What a lovely little paradise for a Crete vacation. Horizonte seafront suites is only 10 meters from the sea, with a peaceful setting, beautiful views to the front and back, relaxing decor, quality materials, and COCO-MAT sleeping products. The care put into the accommodation is so clear. Crete's best beaches are nearby, and Chania city is just 30'. We'd definitely return!

The main drawback was the coffee capsules for the illy nespresso style machine. The coffee wasn't very good, and they weren't refilled. There's no cleaning or housekeeping either, so it feels more like an air b&b. We bought breakfast at the supermarket the day before and ate it on the terrace. Coffee is available elsewhere, though maybe we just got a bad batch. Sitting outside in the evening brought quite a few mosquitoes, so have repellent ready. The units are modern and practical, with a self catering setup right by the beach and lovely views. We had a split unit with neighbors. They're across a road from about 10 m of pebble beach, and you can park right in front for free. The bay view is beautiful, and the beach feels almost private. Sun beds and umbrellas are provided to carry over. Inside, there's a living room and kitchen area, a terrace, a modern bathroom of decent size, and a bedroom with plenty of closet space. The air conditioning works well and the WiFi was okay. It's about a 10-minute drive to Kissamos. There are two tavernas nearby, including one at the campground, and the food at both is quite decent and worth checking out. Balos beach is around 45 minutes away by car, and Elafonissoi beach about an hour.

Vasilis is a great, attentive owner who you can count on. The apartment is well equipped for a holiday, with a great view in a quiet area and everything just a few minutes' drive away. Highly recommended!
