Regina Hotel

The staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help, and breakfast had plenty of high-quality choices. The hotel was spotless and the rooms were comfortable and well cared for. Its location gave us easy access to the main attractions and amenities. We had a truly enjoyable stay, with everything exceeding our expectations. We'd gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, memorable stay.

We had clothes go missing from our room, but the staff weren't interested and said we must have lost them. When we left, they tried to add charges even though we hadn't bought anything during our stay. The staff acted nice while we were spending money at the hotel, but seemed to lose interest otherwise. Since the hotel is isolated, we rented a car and spent much of our time away. Some staff became very ignorant and unhelpful when we didn't pay for breakfast, drinks, or snacks. We've been to many Greek islands and stayed on the other side of Crete the year before, which was fabulous. This was easily one of the worst hotels and stays we've ever had, and we wouldn't use it again even if it were free.

For the money we paid, we didn't feel cared for, and the stay wasn't worth it to us. We paid €747 for the week, got two small bottles of water and two sachets each of instant coffee and tea, plus a place to sleep and shower, which we do appreciate. It's an affordable, basic hotel, but after booking we found cheaper, better options nearby. I'd suggest looking around to suit your own needs. We weren't very comfortable, though that might have been our fault. The small room worked for sleeping, with a nice balcony, good fan and air conditioning, and clean, new furnishings. It's not luxury or especially modern. There's a small fridge, no drinking water, and little space or surface for preparing or eating supermarket food. We mostly ate out or picked up easy things to prepare. The bathroom combines the toilet and shower, which is an awkward design because a shower leaves the floor wet if you need the toilet. For a long stay like ours, the tiny sink in the toilet was also a problem. Housekeeping changed the bedding daily, maybe changed the towels, and took out the rubbish. There was only one tiny bin in the toilet. The pool was nice, but we only used it once because it closes at 8 pm, too early for us as beach people who got back around then. A night pool would be a nice addition. Breakfast costs €15 per person. We didn't eat it, but had a look: eggs, sausages, bread, the usual breakfast things. For €30, you can get a Greek feast at a taverna. The coast is a 10-minute walk away, with some tavernas nearby, but the better beaches are far, so I really recommend renting a car.

Quiet, green surroundings and several restaurants nearby made for a peaceful stay. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, with stylish rooms and a large pool. The owners are nice and attentive to every detail. I recommend it!
