Thalassa Apartments

The owner was so friendly and easy to reach, and always made us laugh. He waited up for us even though we arrived late. On arrival, we found a map of Crete, a book of events for the day, a bottle of oil and wine, water, and raki. We loved being so close to the beach, the little gym in the garden, and all the cats around, especially EL DIABLO. In the first photo, I'm relaxing in front of the apartment, and in the second you can see the beach access.

The village is quiet, with just a few guesthouses, a wild beach, a small market, and a terrace to eat at. That's about it locally if you're looking for peace. For other activities, Kissamos is about 15 minutes by car and Chania roughly 40 minutes, though the drive time is only an estimate. You really need a car to get around. We had a wonderful stay with our family and friends. The villa was clean, and the apartments were large, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The rooms were very clean, and the sheets and towels were changed about every two days. The cleaning was impeccable, and we liked that very much. The reception staff and cleaning lady were both very good. There's a private beach with reed umbrellas and sunbeds provided by the host. The pool is small but clean, and the children loved playing there each evening. There are showers by both the beach and the pool, and everything felt well thought out. From the start, the owners answered our questions quickly and kindly. They welcomed us with olive oil and wine, then went over the map with us, explaining the area, what was worth visiting, and the details we needed for a successful vacation. The place was wonderful for our family and friends, and I give the villa and its owners five stars.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the apartments were excellent value for money. The location is great, across a quiet road from the beach. It's a fabulous place for a peaceful holiday, and I'd highly recommend it.

You can really switch off here. We spent several days in this lovely apartment and woke to the sound of waves breaking and tree crickets. The host was super friendly and gave us some really good restaurant recommendations. Thanks! Just be aware that you'll need a car or other transport to reach this location, otherwise you'll run into problems.
