Astros Beach Hotel

I’ve never had better accommodation. Astros Beach Hotel is simple and comfortable, and Agathi’s breakfasts are amazing. The welcome and treatment were excellent, too. Having homemade breakfast by the sea felt like such a treat on this trip.

Agathi and Margarita helped make our stay memorable, and we’d love to come back for the experience, the culture and the kind people we met. The employees were exceptional and the service incredible. The hotel was clean and modern, with a great view of the sea and Astros Castle. We had a hearty breakfast each morning, and the food was fresh and very tasty.

The food at the hotel was a real pleasure, with quality dishes and a warm atmosphere. The room was comfortable, the manager and staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a huge beach right in front. A perfect stay, unmissable!

I booked four nights at €110 per night, three months ahead, when other rooms were still available. Two weeks before I was due to arrive, I was told a channel manager problem had caused overbookings and advised to cancel. A few weeks before the planned arrival, similar rooms were listed for about €250 per night. I made my reservation before the overbooking issue, so I believe the hotel should honor it, even if that means canceling later bookings at higher rates. They didn’t offer or consider alternative accommodation, though other hotels often look for a solution in this kind of situation. Overbooking is a management problem, not the guest’s responsibility. For a small family-run hotel, it feels unprofessional and could hurt guests’ confidence in its reliability. The hotel should take responsibility for affected reservations instead of implying that I canceled.
