Hotel Liotopi

The food is a big reason I keep returning to Hotel Liotopi. The room price includes some meals at the family’s seaside sister restaurant Akrogiali, just a short walk away, and the seafood is excellent. You have to try the seafood pasta dishes! It’s at the edge of the quiet, family-friendly village Olympiada in the Chalkidiki region, with lots of different beautiful beaches nearby. Rent a car to explore, or walk 10 minutes to the hidden beach Sykies. It’s lovely knowing a welcoming hotel room is waiting when you get back. I’ve watched Hotel Liotopi change and improve over the years, and I’ve come to know the owners, Ms. Loulou and Mr Andreas. They’re warm, wonderful people. Every room has thoughtful details, many of them handcrafted by Ms. Loulou, whose artistic touch is everywhere. She also makes the fresh breakfast and brunch on site, including eggs, pastries, and cakes, with ingredients from the hotel’s back garden or local sources. The jams and Greek traditional spoon desserts, tou koutaliou, are made there too, using fruit she grows herself. Ms. Loulou even holds cooking workshops to show you how. This charming boutique hotel has a personality of its own and feels close to nature. I’m biased, sure, but the place and its people are brilliant. I can’t recommend it enough. Just GO!

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, too. Liotopi is in a great spot in Olympiada, Halkidiki, just a few steps from the main beach. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely time at Liotopi. The place feels down to earth and unique, with a real connection to nature. Breakfast was wonderful, and Lulu and the team, David, Marcel, and Pandora, were true professionals. At Dimitris' restaurant the food was fresh, delicious, and just right for us. The hosts made us feel like we were at home with family. They’re kind, warm, thoughtful, and always helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food fantastic, and the location just right. Choosing Liotopi was the best decision we made, and we’re already checking dates to book again. I can’t wait to go back.
