Villa Pavlina

For 85e per day, it didn't feel worth the money. We stayed in Apt.No.4, a two-bedroom apartment for four, but it was tiny for that number and didn't have a sea view. One bedroom had no window, and the balcony had only two chairs and no table. Cleaning was by request. If you expected them to clean without asking, they wouldn't. The owner was unpleasant. She was nice until she took all the money upfront, then stopped responding. I tried contacting her on viber and got no reply, though before that she had been very responsive.

We had a wonderful time here, including some unforgettable nights. The apartments work well for family holidays in winter or summer, and the hospitality is great. Our room was clean and cozy, and the playground meant the kids could play in the yard while we cooked or relaxed without worrying. The sea is very close, with shallow water that's great for children. The market is nearby too, and it's about a 5-minute walk to ancient stagira, the birthplace of Aristoteles the great philosopher. Check them out.

The smell was awful, and the humidity was extreme. Water dripped from the bathroom wall, if you can call it a bathroom, and from both broken sinks. It was extremely dirty. The hot water was barely warm. The hostess was vulgar and never came by once to see if everything was OK. I'd definitely choose a tent over that villa. Villa Pavlina is everything you don't want on vacation.

The location is great, right near the beach, and the room itself is nice. Everything in the fridge and on the table was free. But the bed was really uncomfortable and squeaky, and when we arrived there was nobody at reception.
