The bathroom was bright, modern, clean, and so well done it could put plenty of five-star places to shame. The little hotel itself was spotless and sits halfway between the two beaches of Ornos. Mina was constantly cleaning and went out of her way to help. The pool area looks just as beautiful as the photos, though early in the season the water was very refreshing. My room was fine, with dated but solid furniture and a modern air-con unit. A few basics were missing due to local covid rules, but you can ask the hotel for extras like a kettle or glasses. Even the toilet paper was decent, a good sign.

Mina was a warm host and shared lots of useful information about Mykonos Island. She suggested the Water Taxi to the beaches along the coast, which we enjoyed. The family-run hotel welcomed us nicely, and the pool was clean. Ornos beach is easy to get to, with a small grocery store, two good restaurants, and a few bakeries nearby. The rooms are pretty basic.

Mina is what made our stay special. She welcomed us warmly, gave us great advice, and even washed our clothes so we’d be ready for the wedding the next day. The Asteri Hotel is a restored family-owned building right in the heart of Ornos, with private parking, the beach a few steps away, and a supermarket directly opposite. It was impressively clean throughout, with beautifully restored floors and new, spotless bathrooms. Ornos was convenient for getting to the airport, local taverns, and other points of interest. You can walk to the beach and enjoy a quieter, more traditional side of Mykonos, while still being only minutes from the center and away from the city's tourist bustle.
