Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos

The room attendant came in without knocking, then got annoyed when she couldn’t clean right then. That fit the unwelcoming feel of our honeymoon stay at Santa Marina. We also had trouble with our dietary restrictions. They seemed upset by them and charged us much more than we should have paid. On top of that, the receptionist said at check-in that the stay was paid and they only needed a card on file. Two days later, the full stay was charged to that card. When I raised it, no one apologized, and sorting it out wasted an hour of my time. The service was terrible. Choosing Santa Marina for our honeymoon was a decision I can’t describe how badly I regret.

Even in just two days, Santa Marina made such a strong impression that we’re already looking forward to going back. We spent time by the pool and had delicious food, and everything felt easy and luxurious. The setting is stunning, right beside a private beach with beautiful views across the Aegean. Our room was lovely, comfortable, and made for relaxing. Nikolas, the hotel manager, Nikos, the general manager, and Angela, the head concierge, all made us feel welcome and cared for, with personal touches that really mattered. An unforgettable stay, 10/10.

The ocean view from our room was spectacular, and it was lovely having a beach right on the property for swimming or spending the day relaxing. We were there for our anniversary, and the Santa Marina experience started as soon as we arrived. Every staff member seemed ready to help, whether we needed something brought to the room, transport, recommendations, or reservations. They cleaned the rooms throughout the day, too. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the main town, which worked well for us.

The beach staff, especially Frederiki and Lorena, were so warm and affectionate with our toddler. At breakfast, the team remembered our favorite table and how we take our coffee. Even the linens and serving dishes were chosen with such good taste. We visited Santa Marina last week for the fifth time since 2019, and this summer was the best yet. The food was even more exquisite than before, and all the little details felt more finely tuned. The service was truly exceptional. I was so impressed that I wrote to management to say how a place that was already great had somehow reached perfection. It’s one of our favorite properties in the world, and we can’t wait to return for years to come.
