Kalamaki Beach Resort

The setting is beautiful, with a clean, rocky beach right next to the hotel. The property itself felt very run-down, though, as if its best days were behind it. The sunbeds were damaged, the pool was dirty, and the gym was falling apart. Meals were very basic, with tomato as the only vegetable, and a lot of sugar and fat in the food. We ended up having lunch at a nearby tavern and bringing our own breakfast. It seemed the owners were trying to save money on everything. A very poor stay overall.

A great hotel in an ideal spot for visiting the Corinth canal and lots of other tourist attractions.

We went as a family with our 2-year-old daughter, and the quiet, safe surroundings and separate children's pool made it possible for us to relax, which is hard to manage on a holiday with a toddler. The family-friendly feel and convenient facilities kept things interesting too. The staff were warm, helpful, and professional, and made everything smooth from check-in to check-out. I also thought the value for money was the best I've ever had at a hotel, given what was included. Kalamaki Beach Resort is right by a beautiful beach with crystal-clear water and stunning views of the Saronic Gulf. Just looking at the scenery was enough to clear my head. Everything was provided, so the stay felt effortless. The food was fresh, healthy, and light, just right for summer, and both breakfast and dinner buffets were thoughtfully prepared. My wife and I spent a weekend there and fell in love with the place. We're already planning to come back for 2-3 weeks. There are cultural sights close by too. The Corinth Canal and Temple of Isthmia are a short drive away, and day trips add to the experience. It's a lovely place to recharge and enjoy Greek hospitality. I can't wait to return.

We didn't feel the hotel gave us value for what we paid. Other 4-star places we've stayed at were more comfortable, offered better quality, and cost the same or less. The food choices were very limited, and a lot of the services seemed overpriced compared with similar hotels. I also don't understand the 4-star rating when basic facilities such as a spa, sauna, or wellness center aren't available, since those are standard at most hotels in this category. It just didn't feel worth the money, and I'd suggest looking at other hotels in the same category for better quality and service at the price.
