The staff and owner’s attitude was unacceptable, and I’d urge people to avoid staying here. We felt they weren’t apologetic and blamed others for what happened, while the hotel seemed badly understaffed, with only two people running the whole place. Our late arrival had been arranged in advance, but reception was shut when we got there. At 1 in the morning we waited over 40 minutes to be let in. We called more than 10 times without an answer and nearly had to break down the door to wake the receptionist. Breakfast was poorly organized. The food ran out several times, leaving people waiting a long time for more. The rooms haven’t been renovated, and the website photos show furniture from reception rather than the rooms themselves.

The view was beautiful, but the management left us disappointed. We were told there was no shuttle, so getting around requires a vehicle. The people in charge seemed nice at first, but later came across as rude, political, misogynistic, and condescending. Breakfast was included, yet the food seemed barely reheated from the day before and served again, eggs included. Staff also removed the key card from the air conditioning unit, then lectured us about the electricity bill. Reception was listed as 24/7, but we were told to use online chat if we needed anything because the manager was leaving the property. I’m posting this because the owner removed my review from Expedia. Reviews are meant to let other travelers share their experiences, especially in 2024.

We stayed in early September and were really impressed by how kind and accommodating the hotel staff were. Although the hotel restaurant was closed for the off season, they still served us lovely multi-course breakfasts. It’s a great spot, a little away from Milos’s busier areas, so you’ll need a moped or four-wheeler. That’s part of the fun. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place deserved one. We’ll be back.

The room was around 300 a night, and the accommodation didn’t come close to justifying that price. I felt watched and uncomfortable the whole time, as though we might do something to upset him. At checkout, the owner inspected the room thoroughly before returning our deposit, even checking the fridge door. We tried to give feedback about the room and how he treated us. He sarcastically asked if we’d stayed in other hotels, then said Greeks were the worst customers, yelled over us, said he’d never accept Greek guests again, and eventually told us to go f*ck ourselves. There were problems with the room as well. Its view was of a field, the lighting was awful, and in the bathroom I couldn’t see well enough to put in my contact lenses on the right side. The shower was clogged, and sewage came up through the floor drain. The mismatched furniture looked very dated and certainly not recently renovated, nothing like the misleading photos. Breakfast was scant: tiny slices of omelet, a single small bowl of yogurt in the fridge, and just three little pieces of cheese pie. You get the idea. We’d agreed before arrival that the hotel would collect us from the port, but they forgot. They apologized, and arrived very tired after we’d found a rental car. On arrival, the owner lectured us to be careful with the 100% cotton sheets and towels so they wouldn’t get stained with sunscreen or makeup, saying other customers were ruining his property. He also told us to turn off the lights and air conditioning and respect the place because he’d paid a lot for it. Then he required a 120 eur deposit at check-in to protect the property, although there was no minibar service or products. I’d never had that happen at a hotel before.
