Moraitis - Gaia Lux Inn

We could get checked in and around the property without any trouble, and the location made getting about easy. The room itself was clean and really good. The problem was the water: for most of our five days, it never got properly hot, just a little warm at best. That’s why I’m giving it four stars instead of five, despite everything else being excellent.

The comfortable bed, clean and roomy space, cooking counter, and small balcony made our stay memorable. Katerina and the staff welcomed us warmly from the first day through the last, and I’m very grateful to them. It’s a quiet spot away from busy towns, with parking beside the property. There’s no restaurant or supermarket nearby. A rental car is preferable, though there’s a bus stop on the main road if you need it. We were so glad we booked this place.

Free snacks and coffee were a nice bonus, and the room was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The staff were kind and really helpful. Having a car makes it easy to get around the island from here. We loved our stay at Gaia Lux Inn and would definitely come back.

The staff were great, all spoke English, and helped arrange transport to and from the port as well as an ATV delivered to the Inn. The location worked well for us, and it was quiet, with a small beach nearby if you want to skip the tourist spots for a day. Most places are about a 10-15 minute drive away, and the south of the island takes around 25 minutes. WiFi wasn’t great. We were out exploring most of the time, so the room was okay for a few nights. It was small and dark, with hardly any natural light beyond the little window in the door. When I first saw it, I panicked a bit because I’d expected something much larger, with a proper window. The bed and pillows were fine for a short stay. It isn’t a luxury place, and the price isn’t for luxury either. I’d stay again, but might choose a bigger room with a water view and a window next time. Thanks for everything!
