Akrotiri Beach Resort & Spa - Adult Friendly

We had a great six nights. The hotel’s location was perfect, and the pool was nice. Our west-facing room let us catch a few sunsets, though the time of year made that difficult. Breakfast had nearly everything you could want, and the staff were excellent. The pool menu cost more than I expected, though prices were similar to nearby bars and restaurants. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel. Watch for mosquitoes at night, and, if you can, eat breakfast inside to dodge the wasps. We’d come back.

I spent every day reading, swimming, snorkeling, and exploring the nearby sea caves. The cliffside sunbathing spot was just as good as the photos and all the hype, and the food was wonderful. Half board is worth getting, and make a reservation to eat at their bar, the food there was phenomenal. My husband and I hired a car, though there’s also a very cheap bus running all day from the hotel to Corfu. We took it into Old Town to avoid dealing with parking. The rooms are lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful. My one complaint is how people left towels on the rocks to hold the few cliffside sunbeds. They’d disappear for hours, sometimes for breakfast and then again at lunch. It felt rude and selfish, especially when others were looking for a spot. I always took my towel with me and let someone else use the seat when I left. The rest of the resort has signs saying unattended belongings will be removed after 30 minutes, and I wish staff would enforce that in this area too. Once I saw a couple’s spot kept for three hours while they never showed up, even as other couples came and went looking for somewhere to sit.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, where the menu was great, especially the perfectly cooked steak and lovely presentation. There was live music that night too. The beach is a real gem for such a central spot, and the beach bar has plenty of room to spend the day. The setting, atmosphere, and staff were all wonderful. Even reception were welcoming and so helpful.

We were completely happy with our stay. The place was clean, peaceful, comfortable, and relaxing, and the service went beyond what we expected. The staff were kind and very polite, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. A lovely spot to unwind. We’ll definitely visit again and can’t wait to return.
