We had a really good stay. The apartment was pleasant, with a veranda, a little flower garden and a well-equipped kitchen. There’s a nice taverna almost next door, and the Agathia village shop is a few hundred metres farther on. Palekastro, about 1 km away, has more places to shop and eat, and most of the way there is along an illuminated footpath. A towel rail in the bathroom would be handy, as would a wall-mounted shower attachment so you don’t have to hold the shower by hand. Still, it was very good.

It’s a quiet area, and the accommodation is spacious, clean and set up with what you need to relax, cook or do laundry. The beach is close, about 2-3 minutes by car, though I wouldn’t suggest walking there. We were greeted with fresh eggs, olive oil and biscottis, which was a thoughtful touch. The awkward part was the shower: only a curtain separates it from the rest of the bathroom, and there’s no holder for the shower head, so you have to hold it or water splashes around the bathroom and onto the toilet bowl.

The owners were warm, polite and helpful with anything we needed. Our room was very clean, and the quiet location is near some amazing beaches and restaurants.
