Nikos greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. We were surprised by how nice it was, and it was spotless. The big room has a huge double bed, while the kitchen has all the mod cons, including a kettle, coffee machine, oven, fridge freezer and even a sandwich toaster. There’s also a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet, plus toiletries, shower gel, soap and nice towels. A TV and air conditioning are provided too. We had a huge balcony with a table and chairs for eating outside, as well as another table and chairs indoors. The owner took great care of us and was always ready to help. It’s a quiet spot, just a short stroll from central Palekastro, where there are plenty of tavernas, shops and bars. Very happy we found it, and we’ll definitely be back.

The staff were nice, the apartment was clean, and there’s parking right outside. The kitchen is available, though I’d recommend walking into the village to eat. Just be aware that the walls don’t block much sound and the AC is pretty loud. You’ll hear the wind all the time too, which is probably part of why you came :)

The furnishings are a little dated, but the room is clean and private, with its own bathroom and balcony. A great price.

We spent 5 nights at Lagos Studio & Apartments and found the accommodation and facilities excellent and clean. It’s on the edge of the village, just over a 5-minute walk from shops and excellent tavernas, with beaches also within walking distance. There’s an outdoor terrace or balcony, plus parking on site, and caretaker Nikos lives there and is very helpful and attentive. It’s quiet and makes a good base for walks and exploring farther afield on Crete’s eastern side. A lovely place to stay, superb value for money, and highly recommended.
