The resort itself is gorgeous, with lovely beach views and plenty to do. Dinner was a real highlight, especially the local dishes, and our room was beautiful and consistently spotless. The facilities make this a strong choice for families or anyone wanting a holiday with a mix of activities, including childcare. Getting into town takes around 25 minutes on foot or 15 by bike. It’s a quiet, quaint Greek town with friendly people and a small supermarket, but not much else going on. A couple of things got frustrating. Drinks aren’t included, so the cost added up by the end, and lunch isn’t included either, though breakfast was big enough for us. Some activities, like padel, filled up fast, and there weren’t always enough bikes. Staff friendliness was uneven: many weren’t very helpful or welcoming, and a few bar staff were actually rude. Some staff were lovely, which made the difference even more noticeable.

Our children, aged 1, 2 and 15, all had an incredible time, and there was something to keep everyone busy from morning until night. The kids’ and teen clubs gave us time to get out on paddleboards and kayaks, and the airport transfer and welcome meeting were thoughtful parts of the experience too. It felt like every member of the family had been considered. The resort is gorgeous, the hospitality was wonderful, and the staff took great care of us and the children. We came away with brilliant memories and lovely watersport activities to reminisce about. We’d recommend it to everybody. One of the best holidays we’ve ever had.

There’s something for everyone here, and all the staff are a real credit to the hotel and Mark Warner.

We’d done MW and Neilson holidays as adults before, but this was our first Mark Warner trip as a family, with the kids and grandparents. We had an unbelievable week, and we’re already keen to come back. The short transfer to the resort was ideal, though sitting on the tarmac for over an hour before departure was a rough start. Things only got better from there. Management were visible, invited feedback throughout the stay, and quickly understood and appeared to resolve the one situation we raised. The children’s programme was a big part of what made it work for us. They had new experiences with windsurfing, sailing, SUP and kayaking, and Cormac and Ellie were stars with them. The clubs gave the adults some kid-free time each day, and the nightly movie session kept the kids looked after while we ate dinner. There were lots of activities for adults too, as the website says. Sadly, there was almost no wind. I still got out three times during the week, including a first trip out with my son, which was magical. The food was amazing and plentiful. Breakfast had all the options you could want. At lunch, you can buy pizza at one of the other bars, and I’d recommend it: fresh, handmade and really tasty. Chicken gyros stood out at dinner on a couple of nights, and the salads were always great. Nobody does Greek salad better than the Greeks. Table-clearing staff were pleasant and courteous, with both local and UK staff. It wasn’t always obvious whether drinks were table service or ordered at the bar, but it worked out. Drinks could be a little slow, whether ordered at the table or at the bar, as there seemed to be at most two staff behind it, though it never became a major problem. Our room worked well. The fittings were a little dated, but that wasn’t an issue. The two kids’ sofa beds were made up before we arrived, the main bed was huge and very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked amazingly, essential with temperatures in the 30s every day and warm evenings. We reported a leak from the air conditioning and it was dealt with very quickly, with nothing damaged. The family pool was huge, warm and 1.4m deep throughout, with several steps for easy access. Beside it, the shallow children’s pool let the little ones splash around while still touching the bottom. The resort didn’t seem full when we were there, yet there were lots of sunbeds free, plus tables and fixed parasols for shade. The pool bar is close by, and staff sometimes came round to take drink orders. Dan and Annie from the bar team were great. We also loved the kids’ facilities and the food. With young children so well catered for, we’d happily return. I can’t rate the holiday highly enough, though a little more wind would have been nice, and that’s out of anyone’s hands.

The Crazy sofa was advertised to last 15 minutes, but our ride was under ten. The bathroom inside was very dirty, even though that was the only part I used. I really can’t recommend it.
