Castello Apartments

Panormo stays fairly free of crowds, so the days feel calm and relaxed, with a local Greek atmosphere. Castello Apartments in Panormo is a lovely place to stay, a minute from the beach and village center and close to the port. More than ten restaurants and three supermarkets are within walking distance. Every apartment has a balcony for watching the sunset over the ocean, and ours also had a second terrace out back. Our apartment was spacious, well equipped, and had a kitchen suitable for proper cooking. Towels and sheets were changed regularly. The owners and cleaning lady were kind and very helpful, even lending us two beach umbrellas. They’re very family friendly, and our place worked well for a family with one child, maybe even two. We’d arranged a baby bed in advance, and it was waiting for us at check-in with its own sheets and towels.

Panormos is a charming little port with tavernas, cafes, and a bakery just a few steps away. It made a great home base for exploring Crete, since you can get almost anywhere on the island by car. We stayed in the spacious, comfortable first floor apartment overlooking the bay, and it was perfect. Our hosts were kind and helpful with everything we needed, and sent us off smiling and wanting to return. Highly recommended!

The manager, Mrs. Magda, gave excellent service. The rooms are renovated, comfortable, clean, and beautiful, just above the village fishing port. The beach is easy to reach, and the village has a good selection of restaurants and different kinds of shops. Highly recommended.

Magda was such a lovely host, incredibly kind and helpful. We loved staying here. The apartment was equipped just right, matched the photos, and had great views of the beach. I’d highly recommend it.
