Villa Aposperitis

Panormo has plenty to offer on its own, and Pavlina also has ideas and contacts for all sorts of things, from winery visits and mountain trails to art, history and local festivals. The Villa is near the beach and good restaurants by the port; there's also a little bakery across the street with lovely bread, Cretan snacks and sweets. Try the carob ones! It's a beautifully detailed home in an authentic village that's getting harder to find, with traditional Greek furniture alongside modern appliances. The personal touches include a collage of her grandparents' wedding photos that took me back to Crete's past.

Villa Aposperitis is right in the middle of Panormos, with bars and restaurants close by, and the beach only about 100 meters away. We found the apartment spacious and very well equipped, and the quiet village setting was ideal for a relaxing family holiday. We've visited Greece many times, and this was one of our best vacations. I'd recommend renting a car for beaches and sightseeing: Retyhimno is 20 minutes away, Preveli beach and Knossos about 50 minutes, Frangokastello an hour, and Agios Nikolaous around an hour and a half.

Pavlina was so hospitable and kept sharing helpful tips with us. She gave us real attention, and that helped make the week unforgettable 💟. We loved the Villa and its central spot in Panormo, with all the upsides and downsides that come with being in the center. It had everything we needed for a lovely break from everyday life. We were sad to leave 🔝

The beach is just around the corner, and the house is perfectly placed in the village of Panormos. It's a wonderful restoration of an old stone Cretan home, with Pavlina and Johan as wonderful hosts.
