Papaevangelou Hotel

We ended up as the only guests, and even though the owner was away in Athens, the owners of Papaevangelou quickly found us somewhere to stay. A mix-up on another property's booking site had put us outside its usual season, so we arrived in Papigo with nowhere to sleep. Their hospitality was wonderful. My fiance and I stayed in a spacious studio with plenty of room to relax, a fully equipped kitchen, and breathtaking patio views. Breakfast was amazing too, with bread, fresh fruit salad, eggs, cheese, pastries, and coffee.

I loved coming back in the afternoon and talking with Georgios about our day over a cup of coffee he offered so casually. He has a rare way of making you feel relaxed and at home. The hotel sits in a charming little village with restaurants, beautiful scenery, and, best of all, peace and quiet. Our room was spacious and luxurious, thoughtfully equipped, and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Such a lovely place.

We spent 5 days at this charming jewel of a boutique hotel, high on a hill amid untouched nature, with incredible views from every angle and every room window. The rooms were high quality, very clean, tidy, and comfortable, and breakfast was generous, delicious, and fresh, prepared and served with care. Above all, meeting Yargos and wife was a real pleasure. They're an exceptionally warm and caring couple, with a special energy and passion for their guests' comfort. We had such a wonderfully different, relaxing vacation and will definitely be back soon.

The owner was so genteel, and the apartments were tastefully furnished with nods to local heritage. Each day, breakfast was a treat, served at the table with a varied selection of local produce.
