I had trouble figuring out how to get from Gennadi to the airport, and the owner helped me a lot over the phone. He was friendly, helpful, and spoke understandable English. The room was clean and had everything a traveler would need, though it’s not a five-star hotel. The airport is about a 5-10 minute walk away. Cars and motorbikes sometimes sped along the road and got pretty noisy. Apart from that, there were hardly any negatives. A good apartment for a short stay, with a really friendly owner.

The location, about a 10-minute walk from the airport, was the reason we stayed. The host was friendly, helpful, and seemed available whenever needed, and coffee, tea, and water were included. But honestly, this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in Rhodes. It was €60 a night plus €10 for AC, and that extra charge was easy to miss. Traffic noise was very loud all night, and I stayed awake without even getting 30 minutes of sleep. The polyester sheet was a bad fit for temperatures over 30 degrees. The only natural light and fresh air came through the shuttered bedroom window. The place felt old, dark, and very used. I really wouldn’t recommend it for stays longer than one day.

Michael was waiting for us out on the street when we arrived, and even insisted on driving us to the airport, though it’s an easy 10-minute walk. He’s an incredibly nice man. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. I’d definitely come back and recommend it.
