This spot suits people who like a busy, fair-like holiday, but it wasn’t good for a quiet, relaxing break. The beach with sunbeds is 50 meters away, with sunbeds costing €8 and a required drink purchase of at least €5. The free beach is about 150m away. The villa is next to the busiest street, with noise until 1 a.m. and loud deliveries and municipal services from 6 a.m. A medical office below operates around the clock, so babies crying can often be heard. The elevator is noisy too, and gets used late at night. We were in room 31, listed as a studio for three, though its two double beds could comfortably fit four. The room itself was comfortable, but the kitchen was nearly unusable: the cooktop sits right beside the sink and gets wet, so it could be damaged, and guests are liable for the cost. We didn’t use it. Bathroom ventilation brought odors from other apartments. The air conditioning ran continuously with the balcony door shut, making it too cold, but turned off when the door was open. That left us choosing between cold air and street noise until around midnight. We tried to report it, but couldn’t reach the guide or owners. The bed linen was clean, but other surfaces, behind the radiators, and under the beds were dusty. There was limescale in the toilet, and the dishes still had coffee stains from previous guests. The final cleaning checks need more attention. During our 10-night stay, the bed linen wasn’t changed once. The notice board said a guide from Helena Travel would be outside the villa each evening, but that didn’t happen. Calls went unanswered too, which could be serious if you needed urgent help or information. We couldn’t reach the guide about the air conditioning during our 10-day stay. Nobody welcomed us or saw us off. It felt like they were available until they had your money, then you were on your own.

The hotel was clean and pleasant, and the room was a good size with a roomy balcony. The bedroom was a little small but new and nice, and the kitchen was a good size with a nice fridge. We stayed on the first floor at the front and found it quiet, even though there are lots of shops on the street and a gyros place opposite. It was after 10th of September, though. The hotel has five floors and an elevator. It’s in a very good location in the heart of Paralia, about three minutes from the church and beach. The doctor downstairs is also the hotel owner.

A short walk to the beach, and nice for the price, though it could be better maintained.

The place was filthy, with broken furniture, crumbling walls, and mold on the walls. Avoid it.
