Hotel Zefyros

For Turkish visitors: These hotels along the coast don’t have anything special, like Ayvalık. Their private beaches are tiny, with everyone packed together. The number of tourists is Greek too. It seemed mainly geared toward Greek tourists, who were the majority. The sea was nothing fancy, but fine. Our family room had two rooms and was clean. The owner and his son were helpful. The parking lot is a little farther away and felt safe, though getting onto the street in a big car could be tricky because people stop carelessly. There was something in our food that shouldn’t have been there, but we noticed only when we’d nearly finished. The waiter handled it by taking it off the bill. Breakfast was good enough. The beach entrance, rooms, and reception are cramped, and the waiters don’t come to you or let you pass, you end up waiting for them.

We came across the restaurant while walking around, and stopping in turned out to be a great choice. The food was excellent, the setting pleasant, and the wine they serve is top notch. Our waiter was especially nice and helpful. We had no complaints at all and would recommend it.

We’re here this week with our two kids, and it’s been a lovely, relaxing family stay. The owners are so nice, the food is honestly 5-star, and prices are fair, about what you’d expect elsewhere. The private beach is small, but really clean and well looked after. Just the spot for a simple break with seriously tasty food.

The beach is only a few steps away, and the main attractions and shops are close too. Everything’s clean, the food, cocktails, and breakfast are delicious, and everyone is so friendly and helpful. We really don’t want to leave.
