Olympus Thalassea Hotel

We spent 13 nights at the Olympus Thalassea. The rooms were clean and had the amenities we needed, but the rest of the stay had a lot of drawbacks. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor and kept cutting out. Breakfast was a very meager buffet, hardly suitable if you don't eat pork. The coffee machine is turned off after around 9 p.m., and even coffee from outside isn't allowed in the lobby. You're generally not allowed to bring your own drinks or snacks into the lobby or pool area, so you have to buy everything from the hotel. That was especially difficult with small children, who are always asking for something to drink or snack on. Pool rules were very strict too, with children not allowed to jump in or have fun. That doesn't suit a family hotel. Clean rooms, but the inflexible rules and poor internet made this a poor choice for families. I wouldn't recommend it to them.

What really made the stay enjoyable was the staff. The lovely woman working the night reception was incredibly helpful, even writing out a list of restaurants for us to try. The hotel itself is new and set on a quiet street a couple of blocks back from the busy waterfront. Our room was a good size and had a balcony, and there was a pool for days when we didn't fancy the crowds at the beach. Breakfast was very good too. A real find, highly recommended.

Visited on 25 May 2025y with my group of friends. The hotel was really cool, breakfast was delicious, and the beds were comfortable. The view was quite annoying.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. It's in the center of the tourist area, with a pool, and there's a big public parking lot just 50 meters away, though the hotel itself has no parking. The buffet breakfast had a good choice, and the rooms were modern and clean. A nice, modern hotel.
