RG Status Hotel

The room was clean, and the hotel is fairly close to both the beach and Lidl. It was also quiet, and the center and beach are only about two minutes away. Still, the room was cramped, with only the beds we’d paid for and hardly anywhere for luggage. There weren’t enough sockets, and their placement seemed random. The room was dark, especially the bathroom, and the lamps weren’t bright enough. The bath was so tiny it was maddening, the sink was broken, and there was no drying rack for wet towels and swimsuits. Water pressure kept changing, and the shower went from hot to freezing in a second. There was no shower curtain or glass screen, so water flooded the bathroom and nearly reached the room. The showerhead was fixed to the wall, which made it hard to rinse properly. The toilet paper hadn’t been replaced, and the room didn’t look like it had been cleaned after the previous guests. The cleaning woman seemed rude. Breakfast was poor. The pastries were dried out, and the single kind of cheese and two kinds of meat were unpleasant. The coffee tasted watery. Wi-Fi was extremely weak; even with the router mounted just outside the door, pages barely loaded. There’s no lobby or shared space for playing board games, and they don’t allow more than two people in a room. We were eight people aged 22 to 28. The woman in charge, whether manager, owner, or something else, was very unfriendly. At 10:40 PM she knocked to say we were causing problems just by laughing and playing games. Meanwhile, a group of five or six older guests repeatedly made noise on their balcony, and nobody said anything to them. This happened three nights in a row. The staff didn’t speak English well, so communication was difficult, and they seemed annoyed by guests being there.
