Hotel San Antonio

Our room was really small, and the bathroom was so tiny it was almost impossible to take a proper shower. The staff were rude. They cleaned the room for the first three days, then stopped. Some mornings the breakfast seemed to be left over from the day before.

The staff were friendly, and the place was clean. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. But the bathrooms are awful: rusty showers and towel holders, cracked tiles, old ugly toilets, and outdated fittings. They aren’t dirty, just old and ugly. When you shower, water fills the bathroom. I’ve stayed in many three-star hotels and none had such an unattractive bathroom. The hotel doesn’t show pictures of the bathrooms. The furniture is old too. I have nothing personal against the staff, but this doesn’t feel like a three-star hotel. Sorry, I’d never stay here again.

Some rooms are about what you’d expect from a two-star hotel, but sizes vary a lot, and a few are so tiny that two people can’t really stay in the double room. The cleaning lady was incredibly kind and friendly. The owner, though, treated us as if we weren’t guests. For instance, when we wanted to smoke at an outside table, he told us to go to the balcony. You can find much nicer hotels in town for less.

The cleaning lady and the family dog were the only nice parts of our stay. The rooms are cramped, and the bathrooms are worse: taking a shower leaves everything soaked. The manager was rude and made us very uncomfortable. I definitely won’t return.
