Villa Nikolas

The kitchen was clean, and the apartment itself was clean too, but it could use some renovation. The bathroom in apartment D9 had a broken toilet lid. The TVs were old and tiny, and the air conditioners were very old as well. Water dripped from them through a drain in the middle of the terrace. The water pressure was really weak and kept shifting between weak and a little stronger while showering. The location is as described, 100m from the beach. Parking is either on the street out front or in the public lot next door, since there is no private parking.

The beach is just a 2 min walk away, with restaurants and shops close by. There are room options for different budgets, and each room has a balcony, kitchenette and bathroom.

We'd paid for our stay a month ahead, but when we got to the villa they said the apartment wasn't available because it had flooded the day before. The housekeeper had just told us we could arrive at 11, then she took us across the street to a miserable place to stay. Luckily, the agency we've used for years found us another option very quickly. The hotel was great and the hosts there were really welcoming.

We got there with our family and young children, and the owner said there were no rooms for us. Earlier, I’d booked through Booking.com and they confirmed it, with payment due at the property and nothing charged in advance. I called him during the day, but he acted as if he had no idea what I meant. He had no Viber or WhatsApp and didn’t even know how to use email. When I started crying, he showed us a storage room with two single beds for two adults and two children. That was a travesty. What a horrible place. He’s a liar and a charlatan, so don’t fall for his tricks. He’s very cunning.
