Wooden House at the Mountain-private

We loved the quiet, especially knowing the nearest person was sleeping about 2 km away. Set above olive and apple trees on a huge stretch of land, the wooden house is visited in the daytime only by nearby sheep farmers. We spent five nights there, with a break in the middle of our honeymoon before returning two weeks later to finish our holiday in the lovely mountains of southern Crete. Stelios met us in Paranimfi and guided us over the last 2 km to the house. He showed us around, gave us useful suggestions for beaches, restaurants and supermarkets, and was really friendly and welcoming. We also received fresh fruit, nuts, vegetables and olive oil from his father's garden. The house has everything you need, and it was comfortable. Our favourite things were the small private pool, the remoteness, the lovely people nearby and the amazing beach east of tris ekklisies. We hope to come back soon. A little visit to paradise in the mountains. Birdwatchers, this is the place for you. Don't go, run!

Blue beaches and the South Cretan Sea are right there at the Three Churches, and you can also visit the "Ampas" waterfall, Agios Pavlos and the picturesque villages across the Asterousia range. The stay itself sits beautifully in nature, surrounded by it and embraced by the mountain's special pull. Stelios looks after the accommodation and is there to help if any difficulties come up.

The view is one of a kind, and the house is warm, spotless and really special. It's a lovely place to get away from everyday life, unwind and spend time in nature. Stelios was the best host, and we'd definitely choose this place again.
