Oasis

Christos is a lovely person and made us feel very welcome. The location is probably the best around if you want to be close to everything without being right in the middle of it. It’s a short walk to the main area and an even shorter one to the beach. There’s also a road train for trips up to the Castle, and a pool for days when you’d rather stay at the hotel.

We found Pension Oasis just as delightful in person as it looked in the photos, and it exceeded our expectations for both hospitality and appearance. Christos greeted us warmly, served breakfast on the balcony each morning, and was exceptionally kind and attentive. On our departure day, he made things easy by letting us use a dressing room, showers, and a restroom by the relaxing pool. The location worked well for Krioneri Beach. We also went to Valtos Beach, taking a scenic, slightly challenging walk through town. It was a lovely way to experience Parga, though transport is available to Valtos and other beaches, including Lichnos Beach. Pension Oasis gave us a great chance to experience Parga, and my friend and I warmly recommend it for its character and genuine hospitality.

We stayed at Oasis for 12 days over the last two weeks, and we’ll definitely be back. Christos and his mum put so much care into this lovely, clean place. We’re a married couple, aged 55 and 51. The location worked well for us, with good distances to the beaches and Parga’s center and restaurants. Coming back from the beach doesn’t involve a really steep climb. The farther inland you stay, the higher up it gets, and the climbs can become very steep, but that wasn’t a concern at Oasis. The pool is small, quiet, and very good. If you have a late evening flight home, there’s a clean basement guestroom with a shower and toilet you can use. We had a street-side room. I haven’t seen the pool-side rooms, but imagine they’re much the same. Ours had morning shade and some evening sun, and the balcony was a good place for breakfast. Breakfast was simple but perfectly fine: coffee, juice, fresh bread, jam, cheese, bacon, and a boiled egg each. There are also supermarkets and fresh bakeries around the corner, at most a two-minute walk. The air conditioning worked well, the shower was great, and these were the best beds we’ve had in Greece so far, though we’ve been there many times. Parga is lovely, with a real Greek feel, lots of good restaurants and cocktail bars, nice people, and good beaches. Oasis will be our choice next time too.

The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean, soundproofed, and had air conditioning. There’s a swimming pool, and the beach is 100 m away.
