Acropolis

The location made things very convenient, with public parking a minute away and the picturesque village of Paroikia only four minutes on foot. We visited in early July and were impressed by every part of the stay. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the rooms were brand new and beautifully maintained. The hostess was exceptionally kind and welcoming, and the hosts were always there to help, with a charming Greek temperament and a constant smile. It’s an excellent base for exploring Paros. I had a balcony room that was large and very clean, with a very spacious bathroom. The balcony didn’t offer much of a view, but the stay still exceeded my expectations. I’d read a few negative reviews, but nothing went wrong for me. It was easy to reach from the port, about a five-minute walk along a straight road with a few steps and tunnels, though there were no signs. Plenty of locals knew where to find it. The young woman at reception was extremely helpful. The bed was the most comfortable I had during my island-hopping trip in Greece. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms feel private, without opening onto a big lobby. I can’t fault it.

Our king room had a roomy, pleasant balcony, and the fridge kept the water really cold. The place was modern and clean, with the centre of Parakia about a five-minute walk away. The bathroom was cramped enough that I had to sit down before I could shut the door, and the AC was a bit temperamental.

My ferry to Paros was cancelled after I’d booked one night, so I contacted the hotel straight away with several hours’ notice and asked for a refund. At first they kept me waiting, then stopped replying to my messages and emails. They waited until 5pm to ask when I’d arrive, in a message meant for AGODA to see, even though they knew there was no way to reach Paros because of the cancellation. The owner’s attitude was unacceptable. Avoid this hotel. They were terrible to deal with.
