I've stayed at Asterias several times and it's been fantastic every visit. The family atmosphere is lovely, and they're always there if something needs sorting. The rooms are great, and mine had a really nice balcony facing the water across the road, just right for watching the sunset. Breakfast is yummy too.

There are several nearby beaches to relax at, and the town is about a 10 min walk away. We didn't need a car, though there are plenty of rental places close by. Asterias Hotel is a family-run spot where you're treated like part of the family. The room was practical for the price, with shower gel, shampoo and a small balcony to sit on. Breakfast was modest but welcome, and the patio with its sea view was a lovely place to eat. I'd stay again.

A handy spot in Paroikia, with the beach, bus station and port nearby. There are restaurants just around the corner and supermarkets close too. The family running the place are charming and friendly, especially Lampros 😉. Highly recommended!

The rooms looked a little dated, but the sheets were clean. I had no trouble with the bathroom, though some of the other people in my tour group did. I can't say how much a room costs or comment on room service, but the front desk clerk was nice and the rest of the staff were friendly. Most, if not all, rooms seem to have balconies. The location is convenient for the water taxi to a small beach, where sunbeds cost $12 euros, and for the windmill, where you can catch public transport to naousa. Breakfast was basic, with scrambled eggs and toast, plus your choice of coffee from a nesspresso machine.
