The sea view from the balcony, with the sound of the water at night, was exactly what I’d dreamed of, and I slept well. I cared most about that view and sound, so I’m keeping the rating high despite a few problems. You can hear the neighbors through the thin walls, the room is very small with nowhere for a suitcase, and there was an issue with the light that was only partly fixed. Still, the room had everything, even a coffee maker, which surprised me. Shops, cafes, and the port are close by, with the sea always in view. I couldn’t figure out where the pool was.

The view was amazing, and we were treated hospitably. It did get too noisy in the early hours, though.

The hotel has a nice pool, and it’s close to the port without being bothered by the noise. Our rooms had large balconies and lovely scenery, and everything was very clean. The people there were friendly and helpful. If you’re fine with climbing stairs, ask for rooms 6 and 7.

From our quiet street, it was an easy ten-minute walk down steps to the harbour and its many restaurants. Nearby, there’s a good museum open from 11am to 7pm, up the steps by the cliffs that light up at night, plus walks along old donkey trails. The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We stayed June 9 to June 22, 2022, in Studio 6, which had sweeping, unobstructed views of the sea, the island opposite, and the ferries. The air-conditioned room was cleaned to a very high standard each day. Highly recommended.
