Paradise Hotel

We were here for two weeks in June/July 2023, and the location and amazing views were a real highlight. There are lots of steps around the property and down to the main harbour and restaurants, so it can be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. The owner and staff were lovely and always willing to help. Special thanks to Katerina at the bar, who kept smiling, and Elena in the kitchen, who made me a fabulous birthday cake. Lunch portions were huge and good, and breakfast was varied and good too. The accommodation was good, with lovely soft beds, though the rooms were small but adequate and the bathrooms could use an upgrade. Sheets and towels were changed regularly, and our room was cleaned daily. We'd definitely recommend the hotel and will most likely be back.

We had a stunning sunrise view from our room, and the pool area and sunbeds were perfect for relaxing in the sun. Paradise Hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the port and restaurants, and it sits near the port on a lovely, small, quiet island. The staff were welcoming and friendly. If you're after somewhere lovely, this isn't it, but for two weeks of chilling out, it was ideal. Big thanks to Bessie and the team for a very lovely holiday. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Alonissos and this hotel for a relaxing break.

Room 107 was small, but the beds were top quality, the room was cleaned to a high standard and the sheets were changed many times during our fortnight. Free air conditioning and a free safe were a bonus. I took a star off for the bathroom: it wasn't finished to a reasonable standard, and the round loo seat didn't fit the D-shape toilet, so using it took a knack. The shower was hot, but could get very hot when several people were using it. It wasn't a big issue and we adapted, though a small change could earn that fifth star. The pool area is divine, though it gets a tad warm in August. We usually went down to the terraces for the incredible view and shady, comfortable seats. Steps into the sea made open-water swimming and snorkelling easy, a great addition to the hotel's location. Patitiri is an easy walk if you're reasonably mobile. We also walked to Votsi or Rousoum Gialos beach for amazing, very safe sea swimming, and went up to the old village twice, hard work in the heat but with great views and a sunset. Ferries to Skopelos or Skiathos were regular, quick and not very expensive, and the bus to the old town was €1.80 each way. The restaurants were all high quality. Half a litre of house wine cost 6-7.50 euros, beer was 5€, and a two-course meal for two with drinks came to 40-60 euros. All the hotel staff and people around Patitri were lovely. Several bakeries were a 5-10 minute walk away. We had a great holiday and were sad to be home.

It was quiet and so chilled, and the food was amazing. The staff were excellent, especially Katarina. The pool steps are great, much better than ladders. Swimming in the sea is great too, but there you get ladders. Those steps from the port, though! The walk is a lot, but a taxi was 6€.
