There are plenty of places to eat nearby, though the room also had a fridge, mini cooker and hob. The hotel is a short walk up from the port: take the first road you reach, then the first set of stairs on the left. Do book at the Favela restaurant next door, the food was the best on Alonnisos! The hotel itself was fantastic, with awesome views and an authentic, clean feel. The lovely lady and her family run it, and their grandson greeted us and was very helpful.

Sitting on the terrace in the evening and taking in the exceptional view was a highlight of my trip. The hostess was kind and looked after the small comforts. My room was basic, but clean, with thoughtful touches like well-placed hooks, decent linens and good, simple lighting. Those little things made the stay comfortable.

The beautiful view is about the only reason to visit this apartment. The grandma who owns the property was like a female Scrooge McDuck. She charged us an extra 5 euros because we were staying just 1 day, and intentionally didn't give us a receipt. Only book this apartment if it's your only option.
