After a frustrating start, we ended up having a really good two week stay. The hotel feels somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, so I’m giving it 4 because it has a lot of potential and should keep improving. We didn’t miss anything in the end, and I wish the whole team well. They’re really nice people. The biggest problem was arriving to be told the hotel was overbooked. We had to spend 5 (!!) days in another hotel that definitely wasn’t up to the same standards as the one we’d booked. During those days, we saw several other guests arrive and get rooms without any trouble, which made us feel unwelcome and badly treated. Once we finally got our room, the staff made a much better impression. Almost everyone works hard and stays friendly, especially the fantastic restaurant team. Room service was clean and reliable. The pool bar has its own rules, though. The daytime bartender seemed to have a problem with alcoholic drinks. When we ordered, he’d shake his head and sometimes mumble angrily in Greek, mentioning unhealthy. The evening bartender was the opposite, funny and entertaining, and we liked him a lot. Food was mixed. Breakfast was boring and didn’t feel made with much care. It covered the basics, but there was no fresh fruit or juice. Lunch was great, with tasty gyros, souvlaki, and pizza. Dinner could be just okay or really good. There was enough variety overall to eat well. The hotel seems to have been renovated and looks much better than in old photos. The area is nice, but some things need attention, including broken or uncomfortable pool chairs and equipment in the fitness area. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the safe wasn’t fixed down or heavy, so it could be lifted with one hand. One afternoon, a pest control team sprayed poison everywhere. A few minutes later, cockroaches ran around between the pool and bar before dying. I’d never seen anything like it 😂. They cleaned them up quickly. Despite that incident, everything was actually very clean. The team carefully cleaned tables, chairs, counters, and floors after every meal, which impressed me. Some guests left towels on pool chairs all day without using them, or played loud music as if they were alone there, and unfortunately nobody stopped them.

The food was a highlight, with plenty of fresh, tasty choices every day. At Pefkos Breeze, the staff were always ready to help and made me feel welcome. It’s close to the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants, while still being peaceful enough for a relaxing holiday. The rooms and common areas were okaaay. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly place in a good spot in Pefkos.

Pefkos itself is very pretty, and the sea is beautiful. We had a great family holiday at Pefkos Breeze. The pool was lovely, and there was plenty of good food to choose from. Our room was clean and had enough space. The staff worked incredibly hard, were friendly, and chatting with them made the holiday even more memorable. We’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel has the essentials, without luxury or entertainment features. The recent renovations are easy to see, and the room is spotless, all white, with furniture free of scratches. The bathroom is clean and nothing was missing. For the price I paid, I’ve no reason to complain about the hotel or restaurant. The restaurant has all the basics, and the simple meals left me full. Napkins are provided at the table, though I thought they were very cheap. The corridors, stairs, and reception area were always clean and shiny, and the reception staff were very friendly. The place could use some decoration to make it feel a bit more magical, maybe a plant or palm tree here and there, or a picture on the room wall. The waiters, chefs, and bartenders were all men, always polite and calling me “my friend,” though I did miss seeing a friendly female face.
