Mako Sea & Suites

We had a great stay at Mako sea and suites. It’s a cosy, beautiful hotel with very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The staff were all kind, helpful and professional. There’s a private beach with clear water and a calm atmosphere where you can properly relax, plus a very clean pool with comfortable sunbeds. The restaurant food was excellent, and the beach bar kitchen was great too. There were lots of tasty cocktails, a good wine list and, in my opinion, very nice desserts. The hotel also has tennis and basketball courts, and they can lend you a tennis racket if you don’t bring one. I enjoyed the stay very much.

We moved to the restaurant later and thought the dishes were great. Still, the general manager was serving food like a waitress, which made us wonder whether they were short-staffed or there was a management issue. The earlier service at the bar was awful. We ordered a club sandwich and saw a staff member eat from our plate before someone else brought it to us. We were disgusted. We kept an eye on him after that, and he did it several more times with other orders, taking potatoes from club sandwiches and burgers. He was a little older than the rest and dressed differently, so I assume he was some kind of manager. The place itself is beautiful and very well located, but with a minimum spend of over €30 per person, that service was truly disgusting. We wouldn't come back.

The clear, clean sea and the tastefully decorated setting made for a wonderful time, and the food was delicious. The accommodations were good too, and the staff were friendly. Worth every penny, which is why I'm giving it five stars.

For a peaceful, relaxing day by the beach, MAKO really feels like paradise. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, and the service is the best in town. The atmosphere is amazing, with a beautiful, lush outdoor area. Such a heavenly spot in Pefkochori!
