Sea Stars Apartment 1

The place was clean and had everything we needed. It’s very close to the beach, with a great view.

The location is handy, just a couple of steps from the sea and about a 15-minute drive from the airport. The apartment itself is nice and well equipped, so it could have been a great stay. But the owner’s attitude made me unable to recommend it. We booked through Booking.com for four people, yet there were only three sets of blankets and linens when we arrived. The owner brought another set on the second day, so we tried not to make too much of the mistake, even though our first night was uncomfortable. What upset us was that she didn’t simply apologize. Her replies made it sound as if our request was unreasonable, even though the missing set was due to her mistake. She also told Booking.com that we hadn’t shown up, which meant we couldn’t leave feedback there. In my opinion, that behavior is unacceptable. That’s why I’m leaving this review here, not because of the missing blanket. Shame on you!

We liked Sea Stars Apartment so much that we stayed for two weeks instead of one. It’s clean, roomy, and very well equipped, with a full oven so we could make proper meals instead of eating out every night. There’s also a washing machine and smart TV, which made it feel like home. You can see the sea from the balcony, and the beach is about a minute’s walk away. The host is lovely, friendly, and helpful. If you’re visiting Perea, this is a great place to stay.

The room was cheap, but the problems I found didn’t feel justified by the price. The owner answers the phone quickly, though. The couch was very dirty, the bathroom was tiny and unclean, and all the kitchen chairs were broken. The kitchen door is screwed against the washing machine, so it vibrates and gets loud when the machine is running. The sockets seem unsafe if you have children. The doors and bed squeak, so with a child it would be hard to sleep. We ended up sleeping in the living room on the terrible couch. The front door barely seems like a door, and the damaged shutters don’t work and bang loudly in the wind. Booking.com shows the owner with a 9.5 rating, but from my experience I’d give the place 3.5 at most. A lot needs fixing, and especially a lot needs cleaning.
