Peroulades is a quaint village, though parts of it feel empty. The cafe/bar outside the hotel is aimed at locals but is welcoming, and the tavernas are good, apart from Sunset aka Marco Polo, which was very poor. The hotel itself is charming, with a delightful host. The rooms aren’t chic, but they suit the old house’s character. It loses points for having no AC, bar or dinner service unless requested.

Loukia made us feel welcome from her very first email, even though I asked for four rooms at the last minute. The villa is in a quiet part of Corfu, where roosters are your wake-up call, and the room rate includes an amazing breakfast. Sunset beach is only a five-minute walk away, with a great bar and lovely views, so you get both the peaceful setting and the beach. Loukia also made us an awesome home-cooked meal, which you have to request that morning. That put the stay over the top. A phenomenal visit, with the personal touch and five-star service I was hoping for. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

A unique, quaint stay, with a charming hostess and a really quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The owners look after the grounds and offer homemade marmalades, olive oil and different kinds of liquor. It’s right in the heart of the Corfu countryside, and you can’t go wrong staying here.
