Ourania Studios

We’ve just come back from 10 wonderful nights at Ourania, our favourite holiday spot. We’re already planning our third visit for later this year. The main building rooms were refurbished last year and look very nice. We booked directly and stayed in the annexe, which had a bigger room but hadn’t been refurbished. The pool area is a good size, with plenty of sunbeds, and it’s all clean and well maintained. The Taverna looks out over the pool and surrounding fields. The food is excellent, portions are huge, and prices for food and drinks are very reasonable. Christos is a wonderful chef. We ate there for most lunches and about half our evening meals. Our favourite lunch was the club sandwich with homemade chips, and the Beef Stifado at dinner was superb. Petra is really pretty, about a ten-minute walk down a country lane, with lots of places to eat and drink and little shops. Molyvos is a short taxi ride away. We love watching the sunset there; it’s beautiful in the evening, and the castle looks stunning lit up. Can’t wait to go back!

These are lovely, relaxed studios run by a friendly family. The food was nice and the portions enormous. Christos, the owner, went for an afternoon nap and told us to help ourselves to beer, trusting us to settle up later.

The manager was VERY aggressive towards my mum and me. We were two women on holiday alone, and it felt really intimidating. While we were out, he went into our room and took the aircon controls. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you can avoid him. The area is lovely, and there are plenty of other places to stay.

The pool is a good size, with plenty of sunbeds to lounge on, and the restaurant food is amazing with huge portions. Ourania Studios are clean and very spacious, and the hospitality is as good as you could ask for. Christos and his family welcome you with open arms. I’d thoroughly recommend staying here.
