Keti Apartments

We went down to the beach for sunset by walking through the fruit trees, then headed farther along the shore to swim. Most of it is rocky, though there’s a small sandy stretch to the left of the hotel. The pool was often nearly empty, which felt like having it to ourselves, and there’s a great seafood taverna right beside the hotel. You can also walk farther for other food and drinks, or take the bus to Rethymnon for more town life and nightlife. Our room looked out over the sea, and there was a welcome bottle of mineral water in the fridge. The owner was so friendly and kept offering us fruit from his orchards. We stayed August 15-22 with my boyfriend, and the whole week was one of my best holidays in years. I’d recommend it if you want a quiet Greek escape.

The owners make you feel welcome, and Harris is happy to share figs and grapes from his own garden. The beach is a short walk away, though the pool is lovely too. I’ve stayed at keti two years in a row, and it’s just right for a simple, peaceful break.

The owners are so friendly and make you feel at home. It’s clean and quiet, with a romantic feel, and the beach is very close. There’s a pool too, and the prices are low for what you get.

The apartments have been nicely renovated, with sea views and a swimming pool.
