Lofos Apartments

Maria, Giorgos and the team were so friendly and helpful, and really went above and beyond to make our holiday special. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, and the accommodation was exceptional in a perfect location. We just got back from our first week at Lofos apartments, but it won't be the last. What an incredible place. Sad to leave, but we'll definitely return!

We're already booked to come back next year. Lofos apartments are in a great location for getting around, and the owners are so friendly and approachable, always ready to help. All the staff are lovely and look after your needs. The complex is beautiful, from the apartments and pool to the bar and restaurant area. It's by far the best place I've visited in Greece and Crete. It's a good place to retreat, and the other holidaymakers seemed nice too. The view from the hill is great, and we enjoy walking, so we liked the area. Bring walking shoes. The staff are really nice and friendly, and they make extra effort for you. The location is good. Breakfast wasn't incredible, but was what you'd expect for a three-star place. Internet is quite patchy away from the main area.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Lofos and felt lucky to share it with friends. When our stay ended, we didn't want to leave. We'll definitely return for another holiday in this peaceful place, and would recommend staying with Giorgos, Maria and the whole team without hesitation. Lofos sits uphill from the busy, lively part of Heronissos, on the road to Piskopiano. Its pale frontage is easy to spot, with rocky mountain scenery rising behind it. The large circular tree by the entrance gates is hard to miss too. We were welcomed by the excellent staff, including the big-smiling, friendly Giorgos and lovely, immaculate Maria. From the start, the atmosphere felt informal and relaxing, with the promise of a tranquil, stress-free stay that was hard to say goodbye to. The pool and bar area, as well as the rooms, apartments and studios, are kept spotless. We stayed in a studio that was cleaned daily, and the shower was among the best we've experienced anywhere. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, who greeted us with smiles and paid attention to what we needed. Giorgos and Maria have set a high standard of care and detail, and the whole team shares it, working to make each day's stay as good as possible. By the pool, we could stretch out on a sunbed, hear gentle music from the bar, and enjoy the Cretan sun without thinking about our worries. It felt like a place you could stay forever, until the reminder that you had to leave came along. From the bar, there's a good selection of drinks, and the kitchen staff serve delicious food that's beautifully prepared and presented. A fairly short walk downhill takes you to the seafront, with plenty of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants to choose from, plus the pretty harbour. From there you can see the town and its whitewashed buildings spread over the hillside. The walk back up feels longer than going down, but at an easy pace it isn't much effort. You'll reach the welcoming gates and tree again, ready for a well-earned beer or two. It's a small, very friendly place with the idea that you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend, and they really live up to it. The warmth Giorgos, Maria and all the staff give the place made our stay feel perfect.
