The rooms are roomy and have everything you actually need. It’s a quiet spot, tucked away from the bustle, and breakfast is excellent, with lots of local dishes to choose from.

The walk down to Piskopiano village takes about 10 minutes and is well worth it, with traditional tavernas, bars, and shops for gifts. Back at Amazones Village Suites Hotel, we found the mountain setting peaceful and scenic, and the views from the pool and bar were beautiful. There were always plenty of loungers. The slope is steep, though, so it’s good that George uses a powerful golf buggy to take guests to their rooms. Our suite was spacious, thoughtfully designed, very clean, and had a lovely view. The team made us feel welcome throughout. George, Nikos, and Leo were especially kind, professional, and attentive; the cleaning and site staff also kept everything looking spotless, often quietly working in the background. The kitchen team impressed us daily with Cretan breakfasts and evening meals that exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end. For comfort, luxury, and warm Greek hospitality in Crete, Amazones Village Suites Hotel is hard to beat. We’d happily recommend it and hope to return.

Our family felt at home here, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and genuinely professional staff. Manager George was always there to help, and you can arrange different activities right through the hotel. Thanks as well to Nikos, Daria, and Martino for the great cocktails, and to Mio for being such a kind guy. There’s a lively street with plenty of restaurants just below the hotel, plus a lovely pool and memorable views across the Mediterranean. It’s a cozy, peaceful place for the whole family, without feeling dull. We all loved our stay and plan to come back next year.

We’ve just checked out of Amazones Village Suites after a really enjoyable stay. George and the whole team were so welcoming and helpful that we felt at home straight away. The hotel sits high on a mountain, with sweeping views over the area and sea. It’s calm and nicely designed, and our room was comfortable and clean. We hope we can visit again.
